Exploring the foundations of freedom
Each year Cascade Policy Institute invites Oregon high school students to enter the Independence Essay Competition and compete for $5,000 in cash awards. The Competition's theme, "exploring the foundations of freedom," encourages students to consider the meaning of liberty and the proper role of government in a free society.
