Cascade Policy Institute's Oregon High School Debate Workshop features a one-day event for speech and debate students and coaches. The Institute partners with the Foundation for Economic Education to provide expert speakers and valuable literature informing students on free-market arguments for and against the national policy debate topic. 2001-2002 School Year
The national policy debate topic for the 2001-2002 school year is, "Resolved: That the United States federal government should establish a foreign policy significantly limiting the use of weapons of mass destruction." Cascade's workshop was held on September 29, 2001, and featured Rich Edwards, Ph.D., associate professor of communication studies at Baylor University, and Greg Rehmke, director of speech and debate at the Foundation for Economic Education.
